Hosted by Master Mason Mike Rann of Charlotteville Lodge #73. Learn about the history of the Freemasons, especially those who participated in the Revolutionary War and the creation of our nation, such as George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, as you sample colonial-era teas and treats!

The mansion is open to the public for guided tours of all four floors and the estate. Average time: 90-minutes; $5 per person. We start tours as groups arrive.

Jere Brubaker, Curator and Assistant Director at Old Fort Niagara, will showcase a brief history and development of dance in the early days of the Republic. Guests will then be welcome to try some dances from the period (attendance with a partner is not required, and dancing is optional so come and experience the fun of social dancing!). Colonial-era refreshments will be served.

Local herbalist and ethnobotanist Kristin Grohman will share her knowledge of Liberty Teas (local plants used as a substitute for tea), with a focus on goldenrod - because of its abundance and high tannin profile, the leaves were a good substitute for black tea! Colonial-era refreshments will be served!
